Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required within 5 days of a registration to hold a seat in class. If we do not receive a deposit within the three day period your seat will be released.
Guest or an un-registered older sibling visits: All guests must be pre-arranged with the teacher to ensure adequate space in the class. Each family may bring one guest or older sibling at no charge per semester. Additional guests or sibling visits are $10 per each visit and must be pre-arranged with your teacher.
Make- Up Classes: Families are allotted two make-ups per Fall, Winter and Spring Semesters. Click here to schedule your make-up. Makeups do not carry over from previous semesters. Our classes tend to be full with limited space for make-ups. We make every effort to ensure each family receives a make-up if needed. If you know you will miss a class during the semester, please let us know ASAP since this opens a spot up for someone else in need of a make-
Class change requests:
Requests for class changes must be initiated within the first two weeks of the semester. Depending on class availability changes are made at the discretion of the center director and teachers involved. Changes are not made after the second week of the semester.
Withdrawing from class: The deadline for withdraw is two weeks before the start date of your class. Deposits are not refundable after this deadline. Families are responsible for class attendance. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal and all tuition fees are forfeited if the Center Director is not informed of your withdrawal before the registration deadline. If circumstances necessitate withdrawal from class please contact Center Director Jennifer Dudik.
Late Start: Music Together by Miss Jen does not prorate for classes missed due to late registration. However, families may take the makeup class(es) offered each semester.
Caregiver attendance: Two parents, grandparents or caregivers are welcome to attend class at any time– no need to ask. Whole family music making in your home is extremely valuable to your child's musical development, and attending class encourages other family members to join in at home.
Inclement weather cancellations: We follow the Norwin School District for our Irwin Studio and Franklin Regional School District for our Murrysville Location with regard to weather cancellations. Should public schools close or delay due to inclement weather, our morning classes will be cancelled. If schools delay in the morning it is possible that our evening classes will still be held as scheduled. Please check our website homepage and our Facebook page for announcements regarding weather cancellations. We will make every effort to contact you the morning of a cancellation or delay. If during the semester we experience an extraordinary amount of class cancellations we will consider adding extra makeup classes to our schedule. Semester extensions due to these cancellations will be confirmed via text or email.
